24K Gold Snowflake Earrings

Story:  The technique I used on these 24K Gold Snowflake earrings is called Kuem Boo.  It's a Japanese technique where heat is used to put a cutout sheet or shape of 24K Gold onto Fine Silver.  The Silver has been hammered as well as patined which gives it dark colors.

Materials:  The materials used for these earrings are 24K Gold sheet, Fine Silver, and Liver of Sulfer patina.  The ear wires are 925 Sterling Silver.

Measurement:  These rectangular-shaped earrings measure 1" by 9/16".  They are feather-light, so easy to wear.

Care:  Use your jewelry cloth to keep the shine on these earrings.

Meaning:  The snowflake is the symbol of Christmas and of Christ's birth.  Also, snowflakes are an instant reminder of both winter and the holidays.
